Do you know what is in your skin care products? With Beautycounter, you can rest easy knowing that your skin is being taken care of without the use of harmful chemicals and irritants. The best Beautycounter products are held to a higher standard than most of the products in your current skincare routine.

Recently, a good friend of mine became a Beautycounter consultant and started using a lot of their products on her skin. She had struggled with some adult acne and other skin conditions that ail many of us.

I didn’t realize she had started a journey with Beautycounter products, but the next time I saw her, she was totally transformed.
No more acne, just clear bright skin. She looked fantastic. Not that she doesn’t always; this is a girl who didn’t have an awkward stage in middle school (I have the yearbook to prove it).

Of course, I was dying to know what product she was using on her skin because she was glowing. And she wasn’t pregnant – but I have unfortunately learned that being pregnant does not guarantee the “glowing” look (someone totally lied to me about the beauty effects of pregnancy).

She told me about Beautycounter and gave me a few products for me to try out myself.

Did you know that the United States hasn’t passed regulations on what chemicals can be put in our beauty products since 1938?

THAT IS OVER 80 YEARS.

Just think about how many new chemicals have been created since 1938. And we are just trusting that the stuff we are putting on our faces, and on our kids, is safe for us to use.

Beautycounter is taking this seriously and making sure that they aren’t adding in possibly harmful chemicals and cut corners on safety just because nobody is looking.

You can trust Beautycounter products for your skin and more importantly your kids’ skin.

THE BEST BEAUTYCOUNTER PRODUCTS

If you are interested in trying out Beautycounter products, I would suggest picking one or two products that you would use daily and make a swap of your current brand and monitor how your skin feels.

As you see the positive changes in your skin, start making swaps as you finish out your current product stash.

I used the Beautycounter products below for a week straight and my skin felt so much cleaner and softer. I have naturally dry skin and these products helped balance my skin and keep it moisturized so I didn’t have any flaky skin as I put on my make up each day.

The changes happened way faster than I would have expected and turned me into a Beautycounter believer!

My Picks for Best Beauty Counter Products

A post shared by Mattie Givens (@mattiegivens) on

No. 1 Brightening Facial Oil

This product was voted Allure’s Best of Beauty Award Winner in 2017.  You can add a couple drops to your moisturizer each morning for a little added boost of softness.

This product also smells incredible and the citrus will help wake you up for the start of your day. The price is higher than what you would get in a drugstore, but if you are only using a couple of drops a day, this product will last you for a loooooooong time.

No 1 Brightening Facial Mist

I love Facial Mists. They are one of the quickest ways to refresh your skin during the middle of the day. I used one spray from a really high-end facial mist that a coworker of mine had an instantly got compliments on how fresh my skin looks.

But at $80+ a bottle, I can’t afford that high-end brand, so at under $40, this Beautycounter product is in my price range, and I know I can trust this product to be safe for my skin.

Bring on the post 2:00 PM compliments!

Rejuvenating Eye Cream

Someone once told me that if you wore shoes like this in high school (also THESE SHOES ARE APPARENTLY BACK IN STYLE), you are now at an age where you need to be using an eye cream.

This Rejuvenating Eye Cream felt like heaven. I put it on at night and it my eyes felt hydrated the next morning and it greatly reduced my dark circles.

The Best Beautycounter Product

Cleansing Balm

This product is incredible. It removed my makeup, cleaned my skin, and intensely moisturized so my skin felt super soft the next day.

If you were just to get one product, this would be my recommendation. You basically get 3 products in one. And you can use it as an overnight mask or as your daily moisturizer. So make that 4 products in one.

The Best Beautycounter Products: Cleansing Balm

No. 3 Balancing Facial Mask

Really great when you need to clear up a break out, or if you just want a deep clean of your pores. Super easy to apply, which is important when you are dealing with something like a charcoal based mask!

Bubble bath + Rosé + This Mask = a very good Me Time evening

Rejuvenating Day Cream

Use this with a few drops of the brightening facial oil for a great way to wake up your skin. This product is really lightweight so it left my skin soft and moisturized but not oily.

If you didn’t get the Cleansing Balm, I would recommend this as the next best thing. A good moisturizer is hard to find. I struggle with finding a product that is a good middle between too lightweight and still leaves my skin dry or too heavy and leaves my skin feeling greasy.

This Rejuvenating Day Cream is the perfect middle ground. 10/10 recommend.

Kids Bath Collection

I have spent a good amount of time looking for non-toxic bug sprays and sunscreens but hadn’t given much of a thought about the bath products we use DAILY on Kinsley.

Luckily, Beautycounter has though all of that through and created a Kids Bath Collection, with soap, shampoo, and conditioner that is free of irritants and harmful ingredients. Plus they smell amazing (berry scented soap and orange-vanilla conditioner?!).

The Best Beautycounter Products: Kids Bath Collection

There is also a baby line for the smaller kids, and that includes tear free all over wash, baby oil, and baby lotion.

Beauty Counter also has a make-up line, although I haven’t given that a try. If you have a favorite item from their make-up products, let me know what it is in the comments below!

What do you think are the best Beautycounter products? Were you unfamiliar with this great brand like I was? Let me know what products you have tried or which products you will try in the comments below!
